The website is finally complete!
After a long wait, the Speedwell Volleyball Club website is finally ready for launch. The club hopes that the site will serve as a resource for promoting volleyball in the United Kingdom and abroad.
In Speedwell's 30 year existance, it has seen the ups and downs in the popularity of volleyball in the UK. Currently, as with most other non-mainstream sports in the UK, volleyball does not get much exposure. As a result, young athletes are not given the chance to appreciate this great sport. Without the in-flux of young players and interest into the nations' clubs, volleyball will always remain a "secondary" sport.
It is the aim of Speedwell Volleyball Club to promote volleyball to the younger generations as well as the nation as a whole. However, as the club is managed and operated by its players, it must be patient in achieving its goals. The Club hopes that this website will provide a starting point.
